I was about four years old when I laid eyes on Peugeot 205: 1.9 -liter GTI.
Until then, I knew it was distinctive, and its clean lines that shattered Beninfarina engraved to my mind as the origin of what would become a hot hole fancy.
Later, I was transferred to and from school in one, and 20 years are still part of the family, although he is currently residing under a sheet and in a very sorry case.
But while 205 was satisfied with the eye and a bonus of leadership, it was also a fairly difficult hot hole for taming. Not only that, it was the exhibition to be neglected because of various engine problems as well (continue, ask me how I know).
You can imagine my enthusiasm, then, when Warwickshire Tolman Engineering took a hot hatchback in its 1980s, re -formulated, and fixed it in the car that was always scheduled.
Tolman Edition 205 GTI is located on his face, although it does not fit the summary often. There seem to be a large number of helling factors to make incalcous, very exclusive, far from the original car.
But even if you are after an improved copy of a classic car – with the addition of a modern technology here and there – I still want it to keep the spirit of origin. This is exactly what Twelman achieved with 205.
When I participated in the best driver in Britain 2023, Tolman GTI hit a tendon with our tests for its attractive driving on the road and its fun nature on the right track.
Through his re -formulated engine and the trick, it was fun to revolve around Anglesey like the winner in the competition, Lamborghini Huracán sterarato.
