Patrick Harley, leader of the Dodley Council, explained that the authority “needs to achieve as much revenue as possible,” adding: “No one will die from having to pay 1.50 pounds to the park.”
Some councils that already receive parking lots are taught to impose additional fees on large vehicles.
Among them is the Harinji Council, which suggests adding an annex to the residing parking permits worth 87 pounds per year for a car longer than 4.5 meters.
Likewise, the Bristol City Council is considering imposing heavier and more polluted fees for additional fees for parking in the city – a policy adopted by the Ezington Council in London, which accuses heavier cars for a parking permit. Although there is no ethics, electric cars are not immune from this charge, because brake particles and tires are contaminated, the council said.
The Bristol City Council can also reduce the number of parking places in the streets-a plan that has already been enacted by the Lambeth Council in London, which includes the Kerbside strategy by a 25 % decrease in spaces in favor of EV charging points, in conjunction with pricing on emissions, and additional fees diesel.
How bad is?
6.65 pounds: The most expensive average parking price per hour, imposed by the Brakhenil Forestry Council.
145 %: Increase the average parking rate during the day in Sandwil, West Midlands, between 2022 and 2024 (40p to 98p).
300,000 pounds: The cost of the boards in the parking returns lost per week by reducing the parking places for cars, according to parking unions.
