Tesla Robotaxi/Cybercab is a two -door sedan, electric, providing space for passengers. The car is completely independent, with no driving wheel or pedals. The energy is withdrawn from a 35 kWh battery, which is estimated to give Robotaxi about 200 miles (320 km) of the range in full charge.
The Cybercab concept version was revealed in October 2024 alongside Tesla Cybervan, which we have not seen at the current launch. The previous Cybercab Concept version, about 20 preliminary models, provided short trips to the advertising event. On June 22, 2025, Tesla published some self -driving taxis to pick up passengers in Austin, Texas.
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has announced the launch of Robotaxi, followed by influential social media who publish videos for the first time on the car, and pay a fixed fee of $ 4.20.
The brand is expected to compete with many self -driving taxi companies such as Waymo, owned by Google and Amazon’s Zoox.
With regard to safety, the United States National Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is still reviewing information from Tesla on self -driving taxis, most of them on how its passengers deal with bad weather.
