The Laptop 12 is Framework’s first convertible touchscreen model and its smallest laptop to date. A 13th Gen Intel Core i3 or i5 processor, a 1920×1200 touchscreen that supports styluses, up to 48GB of RAM, and 2TB of storage are all included. It is repairable and modular, just as other Framework gear. Additionally, it comes in a mint and pastel pink finish that we really like.

Pricing for the 12-inch laptop has not yet been disclosed by the business, but it positioned it as a “entry-level” model that is “less expensive” than the Laptop 13. After the business “paused” sales of some of the less expensive Laptop 13 models in the US to prevent selling them at a loss after accounting for the additional tariffs, that model now starts at $899 for a DIY version or $1,099 for a prebuilt one.Taiwan, where Framework produces its goods, is currently subject to a 32% tax.
