A few years ago, BMW made waves by collaborating with Hans Zimmer, who won an Academy Award to give its electric cars a future soundtrack. Now, the BMW Sound Design Studio intensifies matters for the next EVS family. It has designed a new generation of artificial sounds under the “Hypersonx” banner.
the goal? To reshape the overwhelming emotion in driving an ice vehicle while enjoying silently and smooth the electrical energy. In personal and sports conditions alone, there are 43 unique audio signals and special driving effects designed to simulate an attractive experience. Well, it may be without a gas engine. But not everything is made of machines. The BMW voice team has even created a multi -language choir using the natural sounds of its employees.
To build Hypersonx, the BMW algorithm came out more than nine million sound differences. Then the team chose the best in the upcoming Neue Klasse collection. The first production model that includes this new scene? The next generation of IX3, which was first appointed in early September at the IAA MOBILITY exhibition in Munich. It will be followed in 2026 by the I3 sedan, with at least four other models to come by 2028.
This is not the first time that we heard the term hypersonx. BMW also used marketing terms when the Neue Klasse X vision was presented for the first time, referring to the steering wheel. The conceptual electrical SUVs allowed drivers to change the resulting sound by actual time by clicking on the steering wheel buttons. With hypertsonx, BMW tries to build a more emotional bridge between the car and the driver, even in the absence of a roar engine. Compared to the former iconicsounds Electric, this new wing features lower basic notes, but it is now more clear, more dynamic and designed on a human pop.
Sure, we are still missing the Raair V8 or the six -guided howl, but if the real thing is outside the table, the BMW is doing its best to give EVS a little of the soul. In fact, they disturbed six straight emailing simulations. If you prefer to get the real deal, there will be six other M3 cylinders. In addition, V8 engines are here to stay as well. Source: BMW
