The main concern is that loose connection can cause intermittent or complete energy loss, which may lead to engine kiosk scenarios that increase the risk of infection. In addition, defective wire connections can increase, which increases the risk of fires, prompting BMW to treat the problem proactively.
BMW agents, and if necessary, will be replaced by affected generator units and positive battery cables without any cost of vehicle owners. The notifications for the affected customers will start on May 23, 2025. The owners concerned can summon or search for more information access to the BMW customer service directly on 1-800-525-7417 Or check their car through the official NHTSA website on www.nhtsa.gov/Calls.
