Before the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 series were released, there were rumors that the Ultra would either sit above or replace the Pro Max. The same rumor has returned.

The Naver blog claims that the upcoming iPhone 17 Ultra will take the place of the Pro Max. According to a supply chain market analysis, Apple is getting ready to release a phone with new hardware features. The Ultra will probably use a smaller Dynamic Island, for example, and there aren’t enough orders to cover both the Pro and Ultra.

According to the report, the Ultra will have a bigger battery than the Pro Max from the previous year and be the only one to use a vapor chamber cooling system. Consequently, it will also be thicker. Some may find it excessive, but bear in mind that Apple has been using the Ultra designation for a while.
