BMW is preparing a plastic surgery for a leading sedan in 7, and new spy photos reveal the largest changes so far. From the divided headlights to IDrive X, the mid -cycle update is formed in the G70 to be more than an accurate update.
To this day, it seems that all the 7 LCI series, which was caught by the car wrestling, has crossed the divided headlights. However, it was found that it was just a trap. As with the early test vehicles of the luxury sedan before this generation for the first time in 2022, BMW deliberately hid the separate LED operating lamps during the day. Well, not anymore. The new spy photos confirm what some will consider their worst fear of updating the mid -cycle in the G70.
The front design: the return of divided headlights
Rectangular cutters in the loud camouflage reveal a slim light strip placed at the top of the front bumper. The main headlights sit down much lower, which confirms that the divisional design is the commitment to the last half of the 7 Category. This may mean that the next generation of X7 will have divided front lamps, given its close relationships with sedan. The G67 has already been discovered with unusually low headlights, which sparked speculation about the upper LED tape during the day.
Back updates: light bar and Neue Klasse effect
But there is something else about this initial model of the 7 series, which also caught our attention. By moving back, it appears that the wide light bar is hiding in sight. The test car had a temporary backlight, but the shape, size, and location are all final. Only internal graphics will change. At first glance, it seems that the LED tape has been ranked by BMW Roundel. Where did we see this before? In 2023, New Class’s vision.
Elsewhere, the single exhaust tip at the bottom of the bumper confirms that this is a 7 -drive series instead of the electric i7. Given the absence of a quadruple exhaust preparation, we can say with certainty that it is not M760E. Shipping port on the front barrier is missing, so this is not a cheaper hybrid component as well.
Inside Tech: Idrive X replaces double screens
Since the movement’s test vehicle was arrested, we have not been able to look inside. However, the back quarter angle indicates that IDrive 8 is something of the past. The screens are gone alongside the dashboard, which was replaced with a central touch screen and the panoramic vision was dropped into a column to the windshield base. Although 7er is the pioneer in BMW, it will not be the first to use IDrive X and all new technology. This role was set to Neue Klasse IX3, which was shown in September at the IAA MOBILITY exhibition in Munich.
This initial model holds the model camouflage for BMW, but there will be more likely to flavor Alpina in a 7 -chain plastic surgery. Instead of the only B7 model as in the past, Buchloe’s Take on G70 is said to come in versions of 740, 760 and i7 70. Yes, electric mountain is on the road. It is claimed that the name of the internal coding is different for the three: G72. It can be a sign of more in-depth changes compared to BMW-Badged cars, which justifies what will undoubtedly be a great premium on the equivalent category 7.
The schedule for production and production detection
BMW is still about a year away from the start of the assembled 7er production. The first car is expected to roll from the collection line in July 2026. If our sources are correct, this means that the official examination will not happen this year. Our money in late winter or early spring for the first time in 2026.
