Alpina, as we got to know it over the decades, no longer. The BovensiePen family, since its establishment, has sold the rights of BMW, which takes a brand brand and does not plan to make any smaller models. So, whatever BMW, the alpina badge that begins in 2026 may not be “real” because it will not be a car that comes out of Buchloe.
But Alpina knows that he did not die. It also develops and moves in the market, but it also remains loyal to its roots. Since he can no longer use the name Alpina, the company is now called BovensiePen Automobile, and its first product is this completely amazing Zagato Coupe. I will admit that I am not usually a fan of some Zagato designs, but BovensiePen Zagato is there with some of the best modern Zogato efforts, such as the cars that I created for Aston Martin.
This is the first Bovensiepeen car after alpina: a zagato Sunner
We answered BovensiePen to watch Zagato Coupe Live near Lake COMO, and we were happy to see the car personally and learn more about its story and the future direction of the re -named company.
The coupe depends on the G83 BMW M4 Cabriolet, but it has a fixed fixed ceiling. Choose BovensiePen the summit as a rule because it does not want B-Pillar, which detracts from the experience of driving a luxury coupe. So they removed the factory’s roof and its electric folding mechanism and put the dual carbon fiber roof in place.
How the BMW M4 has become convertible, manually made a coupe
The entire body of the car is carbon fiber. However, the full M4 convertible is still hidden there, with all factory body panels. This BovensiePen did because it needed to maintain the safety sheets of M4 and it was not necessary mainly to homogeneous zagato as a completely new car. However, even with both layers of the car’s structure, the car remains lighter than the M4 on which it is based, mainly because the heavy folding roof has been removed.
It weighs 4,133 lbs (1875 kg) compared to the M4 donor 4,243 lbs (1925 kg), thus the difference of 110 pounds (50 kg). It is also longer and wider than M4. It grows from 74.3 inches (1,887 mm) in the width to 75.3 inches (1913 mm) without mirrors, and the length increases from 189 inches (4,801 mm) to 194.6 inches (4,943 mm), although it does not look larger when you see the metal. It is less marginal than the M4, but only a few millimeters.
Inside BovensiePEN Zagato: Luxury Leather, retro details, and craftsmanship
Bovensiepeen does not try to hide the design of the solid surface, leaving the apparent contact as the upper part meets the body. This seam remains visible because the body flex will eventually break the paint if covered, and there is an additional dose of imagination derived from leaving it there – I thought it was added to the luxurious feeling of the car.
However, making a completely new body for the car is a previously known company as Alpina. It is used in the use of external sources of carbon fiber components and puts everything together in the Buchloe facility, and each car takes more than 250 hours a man to complete it, including manufacturing each individual piece.
There is a lot to say about the exterior design. It enhances the wide and aggressive position of the M4, and the belt line contains a more clear fire than it is in BMW. The rear wings have a more visible sharp craft line that rises and continues in the large back spoiler. Skill the wheel gesture to the fashionable Alpina design for lovers, and look great on the car.
BovensiePen keep the M4 LCI front lamp, but they have a different shape, which works very well with the front end design, which does not even contain a hint of the kidney mesh. At the back, M4/4 lasers are transferred unchanged, but they look different in the context of the re -designed background.
The interior of the car is great, using the same Lavalina leather owned by Alpina compounds. BovensiePen is called the blue color used throughout the “Heaven”, and although this may seem a bit vulgar, see and test the interior personally, it begins to logic. As in Alpinaa, leather covers most of the surfaces, which is visual and concrete joy.
The seats are transferred from the M4, but they are redesigned and redesigned for a more installment aesthetic. The SEAT SQUAB cover design is completely different from the M4, hinting over the longitudinal lines that you may see in the classic BMW E9 or ancient alfa Romeo.
More than 600 hp, everything from carbon fiber, is limited to only a few hundred units
Under the cap, which also consists of carbon fiber and has a “Bovensiepeen” scenario engraved on the underside, a parked version of the S58 Turbo 3-liter Six. By eating your BovensiePen, indidues and control, it pumps 602 hp (611 PS) and 516 pounds (700 nm), and send the car to 62 mph (100 km/h) from identical in 3.3 seconds and to more than 186 mph (300 km/h).
The pillar placed by BovensiePEN is raised on the engine for additional sprain stiffness and improving the feeling of guidance directly from the M4 CS, but was drawn in black for more accurate complementarity. The hood, just like the rest of the car, is everything in carbon fiber and proudly shows the BovensiePen logo, which is new, but it still hurts the BMW roots in the car.
Bovensiepen has not released any formal production numbers for a dual -door Zugato, but it will be somewhere in the low hundreds annually. Since every car manually car, the annual production capacity will be very low. Keeping the number is also a key to ensuring the exclusive cars and its value over time, so it plays on its strengths here.
The target price of the car has not been completed, and this depends on the number of cars that they will already build, but they expect BovensiePen zagato to cost 400,000 euros and 500,000 euros. It is about four times more than the donor car and in the same price slice as SkyTOP and Speedtop concepts. This looks a little sharp, but it is much more brilliant than BMW, and has a unique body designed in Zagato that highlights the alpina heritage that supports everything. We are enthusiastic about seeing this car hitting the road and when BovensiePen planned it after that.
