Few names are synonymous with diesel strength, such as times. With the return of history for more than 100 years, Cummins engines have operated everything from large platforms to locomotives, building equipment, generators, ships, and RAM lovers who will be proud of weeks about energy -powered captured trucks. However, through all of this, there was no Kamins burning gas.
yet. Say, hello to B6.7 Octane.
This engine has already been developed several years ago, but it was launched for its use in medium commercial vehicles. It depends on the B6.7 diesel platform for the joined company and consists of 300 hp with 660 pounds of maximum torque. Low output versions are also available in 200 hp with 600 pounds of torque. Initial data shows that the torque does not significantly amount to the comparable B6.7 diesel, but it still exceeds about 1,600 to 1,800 rpm.

Cummins states that the new engine works on 87 gasoline octane, providing diesel and reliability -like performance without the additional complexity of the Def systems to meet the regulations. On that front, the engine is compatible with the 2027 environment protection agency and the Environmental Protection Agency, although given the “largest decomposition” procedure in the Environmental Protection Agency, these guidelines may change anyway. Economy numbers have not been mentioned in the specified fuel consumption, but Cummins claims that B6.7 Octane is 10 percent better for similar gas engines.
according to Equipment worldThe new engine will be launched with Kenworth in the 5 to 7 Class trucks. Covering T180-T480 models, and are used primarily straight trucks for the tractor. Availability of vehicles or other applications is unknown at the time.
