Jeep may be an American brand in essence, but its presence has grown beyond the United States’s borders in recent decades. Giving Europe to launch a new model talks about volumes on how Stelantis is betting on international markets to reduce dependence on North America. The compass of the third generation will initially strike the European countries later this year before expanding in other regions.
Despite the evolutionary exterior design, the new compass is a completely different car from its predecessor. It abandons the ancient FIAT-Cryler bones of the medium STLA platform, which Stelantis has already used in Peugeot 3008 and 5008, and Opel Grandland, and Citroën C5 Aircross that was recently launched. In 179.1 inches, the compass is 6.1 inches from before, and removes itself from the aging corridors and the shorter revenge that we do not get in the United States.

A jeep will not be suitable without a box -like design, and thus the new compass remains a corner in a sea of integrated transmission processes. The headlights are handling a new experience on the eight sloping network, while the X -shaped backlights meet in the middle thanks to a light strip that hosts a bright pocket logo. The most beautiful versions will have a contrasting black roof and lid lid. Jeep intends to sell the new compass with two -woned wheels, 20 inches, although you are on off -road, you will be better off with smaller alloys. When talking about getting out of the laptled track, the maximum ground mixing of 7.9 inches is served for four -wheel drive versions, along with a 20 -degree approach, 15 degrees collapse, and leaving corners 26 degrees. The 2026 compass gets the moderate, hybrid, and purely hybrid driving engine for the European market. The basic model will do 145 hp from the unspecified gasoline engine equipped with 48 volt technology. The additional hybrid component will pack 195 hp, while the three EVS will range from 213 hp for the front driving model to 375 hp for the AWD range group. The latter features a newly developed rear engine for a pocket, allowing the intersection of a 20 percent slope climbing even when the front tires have zero grip.
Jeep quotes a maximum driving range of 404 miles (650 km) in the WLD course for the AWD dual model, but it does not mention the battery capacity. We know that the individual anterior alternative, with a package of 74.0 kW, will cover 311 miles (500 km) on one charge.
Engineers chose a completely flat capacity, enhanced air wheels, and active pastures in the front bumper to strike these domain numbers. When it drops on the juice, the use of a 160 kW fast charging, will take half an hour to renew the battery from 20 to 80 percent.

When can we buy it?

Jeep is already receiving orders for the new compass in Europe, where it sells the first edition for a limited period. Delivera with customers will start in the fourth quarter of the year, as soon as production begins at the MELFI factory in Italy. The company puts a nail in the coffin of the diesel engine by deciding to sell the intersection with the burning of oil, which had a market share of more than 50 percent at its peak in Europe in the first part of the previous contract.
There is no word yet on the American version, which is expected to arrive next year, probably as 2027My. The US -related model is supposed to come from the Prampton assembly factory in Ontario. However, Stelantis stopped all operations there in February to review its Canadian facility’s strategy. We have contacted Jeep and we will update the article if we hear again.
